The Lake Charlevoix Mariners in Charlevoix, Michigan, was established by a group of businessmen who had a vision and desire to teach children the pleasurable experience of sailing. We are committed to raising funds, supplying boats, dockage, equipment, on shore facilities as well as trained and certified instructors for the 4-H Youth Sailing School. The goal of The Lake Charlevoix Mariners is to offer students at 4-H Youth Sailing School excellent hands on opportunities to learn to sail and race with safe and supervised programs. Skills and knowledge acquired at 4-H Youth Sailing School include knot tying, rigging a sailboat, teamwork building, basic racing and many more skills.
