Porth Neigwl, is a broad bay with big waves making it a popular destination for surfing and sailboarding. Known as Hells Mouth because of the craggy headlands with cliffs descending into the sea, it is said to be like a broad open mouth in the relief of south Llyn, making it dangerous to sailors in times of storms.
