Olympic Valley located in Placer County California right on the banks of the Truckee River near Lake Tahoe. Olympic Valley is also known as Squaw Valley and is home to Squaw Valley Ski Resort, it was also the smallest resort area to host the winter Olympic games in 1960.  An athlete from Squaw Valley has competed in every Winter Olympics since 1964, so skiing and racing culture is very important to the community.
