  Tancook Island Ferry
                The Tancook Island Ferry sails daily first to Little Tancook and then on to Big Tancook Island with lots to see on this wonderful trip including, many of the 365 islands of Mahone Bay, some privately inhabited. Passengers often see birds, seals, porpoises and even the odd whale on their journey, so look out for those and pets are allowed although only small dogs in the passenger cabin, and carry on baggage is allowed, large silver freight boxes are available for additional belongings. Bring your bikes and strollers on board to be stowed, the William G Ernst ferry can now accommodate 45 passengers. The Tancook Island Ferry sails year round on a predetermined schedule transporting passengers from the mainland in Chester to the islands, and visitors are requested to arrive 15 minutes before departure times, and friendly crew are on hand for assistance.
