Walton is located in East Hants, Nova Scotia, Canada with a history going back to the Acadians who lived in the village. The lighthouse built in 1873 aided ships into Port Walton, and still stands as a heritage landmark today. Home to the Walton Barite mine, with one of the world's largest barite deposits, the mine also contains deposits of lead, zinc, silver, and copper.
